Flying Scot Roller Skates!
These were the first roller skates I owned. I got them when I was six years old. They didn't work with every pair of shoes I owned. Tennis shoes, forget it. This required hard soled shoes! Often the front hooks came off, sending me flying. My knees took a beating back in those days! I always had a scab!

Beatles Break up!
The Long Beach Press Telegram (the paper my dad read), had a Sunday magazine called Parade. There was a regular feature called "Keeping up With Youth," that I often clipped for my scrapbook. Here's the one about the Beatles breakup. It's dated April 16, 1972.
